It looks like your connectivity and credentials are OK. I've verified independently that the function works with that revision of ASDM.

I know Cisco uses Akamai's content delivery network for software distribution. So the target IP address that is used will vary according to the region you're coming from.

I'd recommend opening a TAC case to report the issue if it persists in your area.

I just ran it fine on a 5512-X with ASA 9.2(2)4 software and ASDM 7.3(1)101.

I chose ASDM 7.3(2) and it downloaded from Cisco and uploaded to the ASA just fine. Relaunching ASDM upgraded my local launcher instance (as expected) and it loaded fine

Hello,

Great to know it should work, but as mentioned I am at:

ASA Ver: 9.2(2)4

ASDM Ver: 7.3(1)

Would like to get to ASA Ver 9.3(x) if possible via wizard.

Thanks again,

Michael

9.3(x) is not released for the 5505 platform.

Still, the wizard should give you the option of ASA 9.2(3) or ASDM 7.3(2) - both of which are available.

Can you login to cisco.com with your userid and see the ASA software directly? The following link should steer you there:

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=280582808&flowid=4377&softwareid=280775065&release=9.2.3&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

Hello,

Yes, logged in to Cisco and noticed I missed quoted the Ver. 9.3(x).

Thank you for the support.

Is your ASA's configured DNS server reachable and resolving software.cisco.com?

A quick "ping software.cisco.com" from the ASA cli should verify that.

Ping Results:

Type escape sequence to abort.
No source specified. Pinging from identity interface.
Sending 5 TCP SYN requests to 72.163.4.154 port 443
from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, timeout is 2 seconds:
?????
Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)
