hi,
just a sanity check here, i can directly upgrade to 9.7(1.4) from 9.4(2)11 on my ASA 5545 right?
see 9.7.x release notes upgrade path below.

also, has anyone used/terminate a VTI on an ASA? any caveats i should know of?

Hi John,
You can directly upgrade from 9.4.2.11 to 9.7.1.4. as per the document. Please let us know if you do run into any issues setting up VTI on ASA

Yes, you can upgrade directly from 9.4.2.11 to 9.7.1.4.
Regarding the caveats for VTI on ASA, I was not able to find any major caveats except some enhancements for support of EIGRP, multicast

thanks everyone for confirming! will cisco TAC release or advise a recommended 9.7.x image?
on the download site it's only 9.6.3.
