How can I upgrade ASAV10 to ASAV30 or ASAV50.
What are the steps involved in it.

Hi,
You can do this, by accordingly setting the throughput and feature tier.
An example can be :
ASAv1(config)# license smart ASAv1(config-smart-lic)# feature tier standard ASAv1(config-smart-lic)# throughput level 2G
You should be having reachability to the smart licensing server. Go through the document, to have a better understanding :

Thank You,
Does that mean;
1. Apply license in smart server
2. Change the throughput via CLI (same as of ASAv30 or ASAV50)

You may need to also adjust the CPU and memory settings for the VM (or machine type in public cloud).
For instance, details for upgrading the ASAv type in ESXi are documented here:

The responses in this thread seems to conflict with the getting started guide which states: "It is not possible to change the resource allocation (memory, CPUs, disk space) of an ASAv instance once it is deployed. If you need to increase your resource allocations for any reason, for example to change your licensed entitlement from the ASAv30/2Gbps to the ASAv50/10Gbps, you need to create a new instance with the necessary resources." (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa914/asav/getting-started/asav-914-gsg/asav_intro.html)
Is it possible to change the resources without having any issues or do we actually have to rebuild the ASAv?
