Hello,
I am trying to find out the best path to upgrade to two ASA 5510 running 9.0 (1). I know there are changes in the new version.
Let me know what information you need and i will post.
Thanks,

The two big changes are that the NAT got completely redone in 8.3, and the v4 and v6 ACL's got unified in 9.0. You might be able to lightly edit a copy the 8.2 config for compatibility with the 5510 hardware, copy onto the 5510's as the startup-config, reload to get an upgrade in place, and then do some cleanup.
I'm not sure if that would be more work or less than just recreating the configurations from scratch.
I'm looking at a 5520 8.2 to 5525-X 9.X migration myself; I'm currently leaning toward a mixture of the from-scratch and auto-convert scenarios. But I have the luxury of a test lab.

That is what I was figuring. I just wanted to hear from other to see what they would have in mind. Since my configuration is not too complicated it might be best to recreate from scratch.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks
