upgrading 515E... 7.X or 8.X?

I am getting ready to upgrade my PIX515E. Right now it is running 6.35. I have purchase the memory, etc. From looking I can either go to 7.24 or 8.03. What is the difference. From the dates it looks like 7.24 was released after 8.03.

Which one should I go to?

What is the difference?

Any gotchas doing the upgrade?

Looks like 8.X is the direction I need to head. However, from what I am reading I have to go to 7.24 prior to going to 8.03.

What I think I will do is do the 6.X to 7.X, get stuff working then schedule another one to go to 8.X. Doing 2 upgrades at a time scares me....
