Hi,

I would like to upgrade a HA pair of FPR2130 running ASA code 9.14. From the CLI I can see that

show fxos mode
Mode is currently set to appliance

What I don't understand is do I have to upgrade ASA code by adding the new ASA version with ASDM or do I have to upgrade the FXOS version.

From the CLI again:

fw# dir

Directory of disk0:/

I can not see the running 9.14 asa code in the flash.

A show version is diplaying this

fw/pri/stby# sh ver

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.14(2)15
SSP Operating System Version 2.8(1.148)
Device Manager Version 7.14(1)

Compiled on Fri 16-Apr-21 05:24 GMT by builders
System image file is "disk0:/mnt/boot/installables/switch/fxos-k8-fp2k-npu.2.8.1.148.SPA"
Config file at boot was "startup-config"

Any help for this will be gratefull to perform the upgrade of this FW in 9.16.4

Kind regrds

On this platform you need to download ASA image from cisco.com and upload it to ASA disk0:. It includes FXOS and ASDM. Then use standard "boot system" CLI as described in the documentation. You cannot upgrade FXOS separately, but can upload and use different ASDM image if necessary.
