Upgrading ASA 5505

I will be upgrading a number of firewalls from 8.2(5) and 6.4(5) to 8.4(2) and 6.4(9). Will all of my current configurations be lost? I seem to remember that port forwarding acted different in the updated iOS. Will the forwarded ports and 1:1 NAT settings stop working after the upgrade?

Hi,

From 8.3 on memory requirements changes (512MB) for ASA5505. Also, there are NAT changes. Check the below link to get some idea. Search in the forum , you will lot of postings with ref to similar upgrade. If you have a spare unit, I suggest you test the configuration (new) on that before move to production.
