http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_tech_note09186a0080094a5d.shtml#failover

I am upgrading my failover pixs by the instruction in the above link. The primary pix is connected only to my laptop which running a tftp server. Using the copy tftp flash I get a connection timed out error.

The Laptop is connected to the pix via ethernet to internal E1. I can telnet and ping the pix. but I cannot ping the notebook from the pix.

do you have a link light on both interfaces? is your laptop ip addressed in the same subnet as the interface it is connected to? have you tested the laptop's tftp server - win2k has a command line tftp client you could use

Not applicable

Yes I have link lights on both interfaces. My laptop is in the same subnet.

I have tried two TFTP servers on the win2k laptop. One is kiwi cattools, the other Stellar TFTP

I guess another problem would be the fact that I got an error from this site trying to post this question.
