Can someone please help with the following error on my PIX 515 firewall:
Rebooting....
Cisco Secure PIX Firewall BIOS (4.0) #0: Thu Mar 2 22:59:20 PST 2000
Platform PIX-515
Flash=i28F640J5 @ 0x300
Use BREAK or ESC to interrupt flash boot.
Use SPACE to begin flash boot immediately.
Reading 1528320 bytes of image from flash.

Checksum verification on uncompressed PIX image failed.
The above error only started this morning. The PIX is constantly rebooting. Has anyone come across this problem and if so can you please provide resolution.

Looks like the image has become corrupted for whatever reason. Hit escape and use TFTP to reload the image.

Looks like the PIX image has been corrupted and therefore is not accepted. Try to interrupt flash boot and load an uncorrupted version of the image into the PIX.
Have a look at
for the procedure to load an image from ROM boot monitor.

1. hopefully you backed up your config like a good network engineer.
2. verify the checksum the PIX displays upon bootup, with the actual checksum of the image you loaded
