URL Filtering & APP Control FMC

Hi,

I needs experts advice as I have issue of url filtering configured on FMC under mandatory category. I have rules setup and action allow but its not matching traffic. below is my scenario.

Rule - 1 : Adult/Gabling Categories  - working

Rule - 2 : URL for gmail.com, cisco.com,cnn.com and bbc.com  - Only cisco.com works

Rule - 3  : Application to block uploads - All works except gmail application

why is that cisco.com is working on 2nd rule while others like gmail.com, cnn.com and bbc.com not working

Anyone faced similar issue with URL filtering.

Hi,
URL filtering matches on the common name in the certificate. cnn.com, bbc.com, gmail.com all redirect to a different domain where as cisco.com does not. You'll need to confirm exactly the common name of the certificates and modify your URL objects approporiately. Reference here.

Hi,

when I access https://facebook.com, I see on browser below error , Dont know why is this

https://abc-primary.corp.xyz.com:885/x.auth?s=9DGtPGMdKhLBKO6PwAUGwCdXUf4Vc4amWtve%2Bl48DYo%3D&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gmail.com%2F

This above error is on browser top and on browser body shows below error

This site can’t be reached
abc-primary.corp.xyz.com’s server IP address could not be found.

Anyone this problem and fix this, I am doing user based rules to allow facebook access and authentication is active through AD.
