Using 1g/10g SFP's in 5585-40 chassis

I need to add a 1G interface to a 5585-40 that currently has two 10 gigabyte SFP's installed in slot 06/08

Can I use SFP slot for 1G in slot 05/07 next to one in slot 06/08 that is configured to use 10g? Do both SFP slots in the pair need to be the same configuration, both 10g or both 1g, or can they be mixed?

If they have to be the same type, are there any issues with the buffers using two 10g interfaces in the same SFP pair?

Hi,

I think this should provide you with all the information on your query.

The configuration is completely irrelevant of the slot or the module type that you use on the ASA device until and unless you are using the Port Channels.

Thanks and Regards,
