Does anyone have any experience using the VMS Security Monitor for the Firewall Reports?
I need to provide reports on my firewall activities, and I would like to use VMS since we already have it in place.
I have directed my syslog messages to the VMS servers, but the majority of the reports show up blank. Does anyone know why this might be happening?
Additionally, what level of syslog traps should I be sending to VMS? I am currently sending "notification" level, and getting almost 10000 a day. Do I need to go higher, and if so, is that amount of syslog activity going to affect my network performance?
