Normally one would think of using something like SNMP though I don't think what you are trying to do is possible. All the same, the documnet 'Using SNMP with the Cisco Secure PIX Firewall' at http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/pixsnmp.html describes the process of configuring PIX for SNMP support. You might want to go through it, see the supported MIB's etc and see if there is a roundabout way of doing what you are trying.
