Dears,

I have migrated the 8.2 configuration by the following way:

  • copied the running config from 8.2  version by tftp
  • renamed the copied file in (txt) and upload in new asa.
  • I have reloaded the asa it migrated the configuration.

I have 2 question below:

  • My concern is that the password for remote & site to site vpn all be the intact,???  user can use the same password as before ??
  • I want users to migrate from remote vpn (old named) to anyconnect vpn by scanning vpn users before connecting to the corporate network, what I shld have for that and how I can configure.

yes your passwords will transfer, they will be in an encrypted hash that you will not be able to recognise however they will work on the new router.

Dear

  • I have existing remote access vpn configuration on my asa, for configuring anyconnect vpn do i have to configure additional commands or the old configuration will work only by changing the vpn client to anyconnect vpn client things will work. ???
  • Host posture can work with anyconnect client by using IPSEC Protocol. OR it has to be remote access vpn with SSL Protocol ???

thanks
