What is the meaning of slash in signature ID?

Hello Expert,

Why do we have slash "/" in every signature?

Is that referring to signature version?

As I saw  the description of each is the same.

Ist Field: ID The signature ID, which is the unique numerical value assigned to a signature. This value lets the sensor identify a particular signature.

2nd Field ( after slash / ) : The subsignature ID, which is the unique numerical value assigned to this subsignature. A Subsignature ID identifies a more granular version of a broad signature.
