Which IP address will be use for sending a test email in IPS manager express?

Hi all,

I plan to use Email notification feature in IPS ME.

There is a question confusing me. The test Email can work only half time, another time is failed.

I want to figure out which IP address will be use for this SMTP login.  Maybe I used a ACL to permit this traffic.

Does anyone know what is problem for this?

My device is 5585X with IPS SSP20.

Hi,

There should be no communication blockage between IME host and your SMTP server. Check if the communication is fine.

I had figured out which IP address it using.

I used wireshark to capture IP packets on IME.
