Webtrends is lame and what we are currently using. What do you recommend and why?
Thanks.

You should download an eval copy of Private I from http://www.opensystems.com/ an see if that better suits your needs.

I guess I should have expanded on my original message to help everyone help me.
I am looking for a tool to parse PIX logs (syslog format) in a way that can alert as well as inform. I am not looking for a high level overview like Webtrends or Private I. I don't care for graphs, just the goods. Show me a trend yes, but in a way I can find out from that what happened without resorting to the original log.
Thx

What OS is the machine capturing the syslogs?
I use a Linux box for this is run logsentry on it (www.psionic.com). It is pretty flexible as far as customizing the alerts and what to ignore. I found it better than logwatch which is what comes with Red Hat Linux.
Hope this helps!
