I would like to know which firewall under Cisco that can be compatible with Meraki MX, SDWAN can be excluded.

Both are stateful firewalls and are "compatible" for purposes of establishing IPSec site-to-site VPNs.

Cisco Meraki is exclusively cloud-managed and Cisco Secure Firewall may be cloud managed via cdFMC running in CDO. More commonly it is managed on prem using FMC or, if a standalone firewall, sometimes using the on-box Device Manager.

What do you mean by compatible with Meraki MX?

Thanks Marvin. Currently customer is using WatchGuard Firebox M470, so is it Cisco Secure Firewall (1010E) too high spec for them?

Generally speaking we compare "speeds and feeds" as one of the primary criteria when selecting the appropriate model. That is, how much traffic and what number and types of interfaces are required. While the M470 can potentially pass up to 19.6 Gbps (firewall only) or 2.1 Gbps (all UTM features), if you are not using any 10 Gbps interfaces or only have a 500 Mbps Internet with no plans to upgrade, that may be unnecessary current capacity.

For Cisco models, the 1010 series is designed for small branch or home office and is a "desktop" model (no rack mounting built-in, power supply via a separate brick). One of the 1100 series may be more appropriate or even the new 1200s (available to order in October 2024). See the respective data sheets for more details.
