In some situations it might be desirable to configure different polling parameters and thresholds for different devices. For example, you might want to monitor in a different way your most critical devices, like your core routers. For that purpose, customizable device groups can be configured containint your critical and non-critical devices, and polling parameters and thresholds can be configured accordingly.
