Core issue

Different software versions running on the two Multilayer Switch Feature Cards (MSFCs) in the same chassis may produce this message.

Resolution

Because the %IPC-5-NULL: Registering Control Port Id=0x2210003 message  may be displayed when two different software versions are installed on the  MSFCs in the same chassis, the supported configuration runs the same image on both MSFCs in a chassis.

If the %IPC-5-NULL: Registering Control Port Id=0x2210003 message appears, check to be sure the software versions on both MSFCs are exactly the same. If not, change the software on one to match the other. After the versions match, the messages should stop.
