Core Issue
Refer to the Soft Versus Hard Parity Errors section of Processor Memory Parity Errors (PMPEs).
Resolution
Multiple parity errors are a sign of a hardware failure.
For the 7200 series router, replace the Network Processor Engine (NPE) and the memory modules on the NPE.
For the 7500 series router, replace the Route Switch Processor (RSP) and the DRAM on the RSP.
