Core Issue
When a file is deleted in the Class B Flash file system, the memory space occupied by the deleted file is not released until you issue the squeeze { flash: | slot0: } command.
Resolution
To release the memory space occupied by a deleted file, issue the squeeze { flash: | slot0: } command, as shown in this output:

If the squeeze command is not available, you can issue the erase command.
The erase command should not be issued on the Flash occupied by the Cisco IOS routers, as shown in this output:
