Resolution
To selectively prevent interfaces from forming adjacencies, issue the passive-interface command.
For routers that have many interfaces, configuring the passive-interface command on each interface can be too time consuming.
In these cases, perform these steps:
- Issue the passive-interface default command to make all interfaces passive by default.
- Issue the no passive-interface command on interfaces where adjacencies are desired.
