Solution:

With the introduction of fabric zones in SD-Access, there arises a need to support the same VLAN name across different fabric zones. This capability allows for different edges to have distinct VLANs while maintaining a consistent VLAN name. This approach ensures that the policy on the Identity Services Engine (ISE) remains consistent, eliminating the need for modifications or duplicate rules.
However, there are specific caveats to this solution: no fabric edges should be located within the main fabric site; instead, they should be confined to the fabric zones. Additionally, a Cisco IOS_XE platform cannot have the same VLAN name mapped to two different VLANs.

The initial step involves creating a fabric site and mapping a Layer 3 Virtual Network (VN) with two IP pools that share the same name. This configuration should be established at the topmost level of the site hierarchy within the fabric site.

The next step is to create a fabric zone within a fabric site.

Once the fabric zone is created, map the respective Virtual Network (VN) and IP pool to the fabric zone.

After adding the anycast gateway to the respective fabric zone, proceed to the next fabric zone and add the respective IP pool with the same VLAN name.

When attempting to deploy a Fabric Edge(FE) on a fabric site or at the topmost level in the hierarchy(outside the fabric zone), the following error may occur: "An edge node cannot be provisioned on a fabric site due to VLANs with the same VLAN name." The error is due to the reason that a Cisco IOS_XE platform can't support two different VLAN_IDs having the same VLAN name.

The support for having identical VLAN names across different IP pools is available starting from Catalyst Center release 2.3.5.6. Refer the following defect to understand the release where the support is added.
