Resolution
XENPAK is a transceiver that provides 10-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity on the Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750G-16TD switches. XENPAK modules are only supported on the Cisco Catalyst 3750G-16TD switches.
These are the XENPAKs that are supported on the Cisco Catalyst WS-3750 switches:
- XENPAK-10-GB-ER: 10GBASE-ER Serial 1550-nm extended-reach, single-mode fiber (SMF), dispersion-shifted fiber
- XENPAK-10-GB-LR: 10GBASE-LR Serial 1310-nm long-reach, single-mode fiber (SMF), dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF)
- XENPAK-10-GB-SR: (limited orderability) XENPAK: 10GBASE-SR Serial 850-nm short-reach multimode (MMF)
These XENPAK transceivers are also available:
- XENPAK-10-GB-LX4: 10GBASE-LX4 Serial 1310-nm multimode (MMF)
- XENPAK-10-GB-CX4: 10GBASE for CX4 (copper) cable
The new Cisco Catalyst 3750-24PS and Catalyst 3750-48PS switches do not support the XENPAKs.
WS-X6704-10GE 4-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet XENPAK is not supported by the Supervisor Engine 32.
