I have 2x VLAN/EVPN fabrics. I am trying to use NDFC 4.1.1g to set up multi-site connectivity from Fabric A to Fabric B. There are multiple layer 3 hops between the 2 fabrics and I do not manage these layer 3 devices.
In my head, the high level logic from fabric A's perspective is...
- Configure a static route in the underlay to reach Fabric B via the first layer 3 hop. The layer 3 cloud will take care of the rest
- Configure the overlay to peer eBGP via the loopbacks
- Mirror this on fabric B
How can I configure this DCI link? It seems that NDFC needs a back-to-back connection or needs to be able to manage at least one device in the middle. Neither of these are achievable in my situation.
