Serial Number Search

I'm looking for a portal to be able to search Cisco equipment by serial number (similar to what Dell has).

Example, I submit a serial number into the search portal and a page pops up with S/N, Model, Warranty Data... is displayed.

Is there anything like this already???

I was hoping to have it display the model, date of manufacture and maybe a photo of the machine.  I would be using this to identify a machine for inventory or surplus from state property, not in any technical capacity.

This site doesn't even acknowledge if the serial number even belonged to a cisco product.

Is there any other website that shows the exact model of the switch? I want to get a little more detail from the SN, not just if it has a warranty.

what other information you need -  Do you have smartnet portal ?

I have not seen any such website for now.
