I was wondering if anyone had either a list of ips i should block ,ports i should block etc. that kids use to circumvent protection.
So far Ive:
disabled any VPN traffic
Disabled puffin browser IP addresses
Using OpenDNS with all DNS queried forced to their servers (i found them changing their dns to google)
Installed qustudio which protects when away from home.
I have had 'the conversation' on it prior but so far I was let down when puffin briowser went around my dns and found hardcore stuff on the kids tablet.
Tor ive not found a solution for but id like to lock everything else if possible. They arent THAT tech savvy but wil. Google things like "how to get around open dns, how to get around all chld protection with a vpn and so on
Not after a moral fight on the pros and cons but after those who believe in protecting kids from themselves, especially when it comes to adult material.
I have DD-WRT router and open dns.

I may sound old-fashioned, but what about education and training? Spend more time with your kids. There are things which cannot and should not be solved technically but with real human conversations.

You presume the child has common sense and intelligence. He does not.
Already taking down his facebook because he was called 'Hail-Hitler' is a prime example. Once explained to him how stupid it was, he then understood but he cant be watched 24/7. Hes copied youtbe videos and nearl yburned the house down and hurt himself with an noose, he gets man fluid everywhere in his room, and it its a nightmare to parent.
So, technically i need him online but locked down as much as possible. My other kids, not a problem.

As I said, technology cannot help here. Something went incredibly wrong. It seems you and he need professional help and assistance. (I cannot recommend boot-camps, but professional types of psychotherapy.) As you may see, you alone cannot solve these problems anymore, and technology cannot help.
