I changed the DNS settings in my router per the instructions on the OpenDNS website. When I checked the 'welcome' website, it initially said I was using OpenDNS. However, when I checked it again, I now get the Oops page. I've restarted my router/modem and my computer a couple of times, and still get the Oops page when I test it.
I submitted a request to support to find out if my router is compatible with OpenDNS. Has anyone else had this experience? What else should I try?
Thanks.

Copy & paste the complete plain text output of the following diagnostic commands to here:
nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
nslookup -type=txt which.opendns.com. 208.67.220.220
nslookup whoami.akamai.net.

Hi Rotblitz,
Before I do that, I should mention that I changed the settings in my router and my computer (Ethernet) back to Comcast's servers. Before I carry out the above commands, should I put back the OpenDNS Primary and Secondary DNS settings in the router and the computer?
Thanks,
EJ

Yes, definitely. However, router should be sufficient. And computer should be set to DHCP.

I changed the router settings, and made sure that the computer is set to automatic DHCP.
Here are the results:
nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com
Server: cdns01.comcast.net
Address: 2001:558:feed::1
opendns.com
primary name server = auth1.opendns.com
responsible mail addr = noc.opendns.com
serial = 1582494140
refresh = 16384 (4 hours 33 mins 4 secs)
retry = 2048 (34 mins 8 secs)
expire = 1048576 (12 days 3 hours 16 mins 16 secs)
default TTL = 2560 (42 mins 40 secs)
nslookup -type=txt which.opendns.com. 208.67.220.220
Server: resolver2.opendns.com
Address: 208.67.220.220
Non-authoritative answer:
which.opendns.com text =
"r6.den1"
nslookup whoami.akamai.net
Server: cdns01.comcast.net
Address: 2001:558:feed::1
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: whoami.akamai.net
Address: 76.96.47.211

Forgot to mention that I did not restart the router after I made the changes to OpenDNS settings. Should I have done that?

After making those changes, I went to the Welcome screen. Now it says that I am using OpenDNS.
This also happened the first time I made the changes in my router, but it only lasted for a short time.
Also wanted to mention that I am using the OpenDNS Updater app, but it says I am not using OpenDNS.

You‘re clearly using Comcast‘s DNSv6 service, not OpenDNS. I suggest you configure IPv6 with DNS addresses from this list:
::ffff:d043:dedc ::ffff:d043:dcde ::ffff:d043:dede ::ffff:d043:dcdc

I just refreshed the Welcome page on OpenDNS. now it says I am not using OpenDNS.

I have not idea who Charter is--I'm a Comcast customer. I didn't even know I was using DNSv6.
I'm not familiar with the choices you gave me. Does each choice start with :: ?

I meant Comcast, of course. I suggest you stop your communication stream and do what I proposed.

Sorry-I misread your earlier post. You did say Comcast.
I'm not sure where to put the addresses you listed. There are 3 sections on the IPV6 screen--LAN Setting, DHCP Settings, DHCP override.
What do I put in where? Do I use all of the addresses you listed? One? I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding what you want me to do.

I said that: DNS addresses. And you use as many addresses as there are DNS server fields.
And note, I do not know your router, I know OpenDNS. Contact your router support if you need assistance for it.

Sorry to bother you, rotblitz. It seems like you are impatient at this point.
I know you don't know my router. If you want to give it a try, I can show you which page I'm talking about so you can tell me what to put where.

Fine, then you know you can do what I suggested. I‘m confident you will succeed.
