I've override'd the dns in this router with:

  1. Primary DNS  - Enter 208.67.222.222
  2. Secondary DNS - Enter 208.67.220.220

...and it didn't work.  I emailed support@opendns for help.  They told me to changesupport.opendns.com_hc_user_images_gvqObt-LSv4cnjVSYbZhkw.png

the 2001... servers.  So I enabled dns override in order to change the two servers.

The result was a check on the opendns welcome page, internet badguys page blocked, but no go on the exampleadultsite.com...

Disappointing.

Help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

When using a router the computer or other devices DNS addresses should be set to the IP address of the router (typically a ***192.x.x.x*** or ***10.x.x.x*** number) as the devices are accessing the Internet through the router.

As the router is what each device is using to access the Internet the routers DNS address should be set to ***208.67.222.222*** and ***208.67.220.220***. This will ensure that any device that accesses the Internet through the router will receive OpenDNS content filtering and protection.

If you have configured your devices and router as per these instructions and are still having problems please create a support request so we can troubleshoot the problems effectively
