What exact info do you need to become able filling all DNS server fields with OpenDNS resolver addresses?

I guess I don't really know what I am doing.  My router has different screens and menus than examples I find here.  I don't know my DNS name or how to access my network with it.  I know how to access things from the WAN via an IP address. When my ISP changes the address I am not able to get to my LAN when I am away from home.

Agreed.  Then don't do it!

OpenDNS doesn't provide you with a hostname (DNS name) for remote access.  OpenDNS is a recursive DNS service, not an authoritative Dynamic DNS service.  The latter is what you are looking for to access your network from outside.

Here is a comprehensive list of Dynamic DNS (and other) services.

I don't know if you still want to set up your router for use of OpenDNS too.  You can if you want.
