I know a previous topic suggested [X] Television would block iPlayer, but that doesn't seem to be working now.
Any other ideas on how to block iPlayer? I'm sad that I have to do it, as it's a great BBC service, it's just using too much of my bandwidth!

As always when you want to block something, you'll have to find out what domains iPlayer tries to connect to, and you add those to the "always block" list or check the related category for blocking.
There's nothing special as long as DNS is being used at all, because a DNS service can block domains only, not programs, web pages, images or such objects.

Fiddler (fiddler2.com) may be of help to you. Run it before you connect with iPlayer and it will help you identify the points of connection iPlayer uses. You can then adjust your filter settings to exclude iPlayer. Alternately, if your router permits keyword filtering, it may be simpler to blacklist "iplayer".

Ah thanks, that makes sense, that's what I've done. So the main BBC site is still available, but not iPlayer until I can afford unlimited internet access! :-)
