No suggestions. As the dashboard tells you, "you cannot add a network on a private IP space", really. Also not sure why you try to hide your internal IP addresses, we all almost have these 192.168.x.x IP addresses, what else? These internal RFC-1918 IP addresses are of no relevance on the internet.

So, add your public IP address as a dashboard network, as should be, and all is fine.

192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 are part of RFC1918 which designates addresses that are only routable on your local network. These addresses are generally used by your internal network to facilitate communication between your router and the computers on your network.
Hughes may be using these addresses to limit the number of IP addresses they need to utilize for their customers (using NAT or PAT.) If you are being NAT'd by Hughes, then your external IP address (as shown by sites like myip.dnsomatic.com) is shared by a number of Hughes customers and we will generally not allow you to apply filtering to. In that case you may still be able to use our FamilyShield service which does not require that you register a network.
You may want to call Hughes to find out if you share an IP address, otherwise, check the output of myip.dnsomatic.com or by looking in the top right hand corner of the Dashboard and you should see your current external IP address.

If so, yes, most likely you got a private IP address assigned by Hughes. With this kind of internet connection you're unable to use the "normal" OpenDNS, i.e. you can't use the dashboard settings, as Brian Hartvigsen said. Pure DNS (with phishing and basic malware protection in addition) or FamilyShield are still options.

Well my problem is similar but still not resolved. I cannot do much in opendns because it asks me every time to add a network address. I have tried my pc address, and the dlink dir615 address and still dns website does not like either of these. But every time I log in the first thing it ask for is a network address. I am hoping to get some sort of parental control but so far I am not able. What am I doing wrong??

Copy & paste the complete plain text output of the following command here to give us some information to help you:

What's the exact error message? And what's the IP address you want to use?

You cannot add a network at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ because your IP address 124.6.181.70 is already registered with another OpenDNS user's network.
