Mac OS not blocking certain sites on Chrome

Hello Open DNS Community,

 I am a parent who would like to block all gaming sites from my network. I have selected the "Games" tab on my content filtering. One a certain gaming site I put on my blacklist: "https://www.coolmathgames.com", will be blocked on Safari, but not on Chrome. 

I also would like to block ALL Unblocked Games from my network, but the sites have a "sites.google.com" title, and when I try to block the site, it blocks "sites.google.com". Other sites have a "weebly.com" title. Please help me!

coolmathgames.com is categorized as Educational Institutions, not as Games.

You add coolmathgames.com to your "always block" list.

Ensure that you disabled the Data Saver add-on in Chrome.

You can block the Google games sites by adding sites.google.com to your blacklist, same as weebly.com if you want to have this blocked.

Thank you for responding. So I blocked Educational Institutions but coolmathgames.com was still accessible through both Google Chrome and Safari. I also put sites.google.com and weebly.com on my blacklist, but nothing worked. Could you give me any other options?

Oh, I am sorry. Actually it was www.coolmath-games.com... That hyphen makes a big difference! But when I search up https://www.coolmathgames.com/, the website shows up.

If you want settings changes to take effect immediately, you must clear your two local caches, else you will be served out of them.

And yes, you must enter domains exactly as they are spelled, but ideally without the www. subdomain prefix, else only the www subdomain is being blocked.
