I awoke earlier this morning with no internet connectivity.
But what was odd both my modem and my router (both Netgear) was appearing normal with no lights blinking or out.
Of course, I rebooted both and the PC a few times but to no avail. So it was a call to Xfinity and everything looked good on their end. After a half hour with their rep, I went into my router settings on a whim and set the DNS settings back to "Automatically obtain settings from provider". And before it was done, I had internet connectivity.
I have since used the OpenDNS settings again (208.67.222.222, etc.) and everything works.
Has there been any issues for 30 August 2020?
I read where they rerouted traffic around Rio De Janeiro but that should not have affected anyone in the Midwestern United States.
