Is there away to configure any parental controls with OpenDNS, without having a Netgear router? It seems that when I first signed up my OpenDNS subscription, I had a way to do things like configure schedule limitations (e.g., no access after 8pm, etc.) and the like, but now (admittedly, many months later) when I come back in, it seems like the only way I can get access to or configure such limitations is by having a compatible Netgear-brand router. Is that true? What if I like the router I have? Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance!!

OpenDNS Home comes with configurable content filtering (parental controls), without a Netgear or other special router, and without scheduling.
You configure this at your dashboard here: https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/

No, this was never available before. This is a feature coming with certain routers only.

You use it with OpenDNS if it allows to do so: https://store.opendns.com/setup/router

Hello,
The router mentioned in your post is most likely using the Netgear Live Parental Controls (LPC), which does use OpenDNS content filtering with 3rd party features, such as time based filtering and bypass accounts. This is usually controlled via the OpenDNS NETGEAR Dashboard at http://netgear.opendns.com. You may use your existing router by using the steps at https://store.opendns.com/setup/router, but this will filter your network 24/7 via our OpenDNS Dashboard at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings.
What is the brand and model of your router?
Best regards,
