Phones Apps Are Not Getting Filtered with IPv6 setup on eero WiFi

Hello,

Recently installed the eero WiFi system and needed to enable IPv6 on it so my home office computer can get enough bandwidth. When I did this, all of the Apps (YouTube and Roblox) on phones (iPhones and Androids) are not being blocked by OpenDNS including adding the URL's set using the individual domain filter. All of the other devices (Roku's and computers are being blocked). Anyone run into this and have a fix or suggestion?

Use resolver addresses from the following list to configure the IPv6 side:
::ffff:d043:dedc ::ffff:d043:dcde ::ffff:d043:dede ::ffff:d043:dcdc

OpenDNS does not provide content filtering when using IPv6. See [here].

We, unfortunately, need to disable IPv6 at the eero Gateway to force all internet traffic to occur over the IPv4 network so that content filtering can occur.

Alternatively, use the revolver addresses I listed above.

309368103 Are you saying that the IPv6 addresses you listed above support content filtering?

If so, then the KB article needs to be updated.

It currently says:

"Currently, it is not possible for users to register IPv6 addresses in the OpenDNS Dashboard. Custom content filtering cannot be set for IPv6 traffic."

Also, does the OpenDNS Updater application support IPv6 so that OpenDNS know the IPv6 of the network to apply the correct content filtering?

Yes, they do take care of your dashboard settings.

I don’t worry about the KB article. OpenDNS are in the process to support this, same as before with Umbrella. This may or may not include the Updater app.

309368103 What do you mean by "are in the process to support this". Does it work today or not?

Also, based on this, my original comments are correct and content filtering is not supported when using IPv6: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/245247727-What-are-the-IPv6-addresses-for-OpenDNS-

It does not work today, because you cannot register your IPv6 address at the dashboard.  Therefore your DNS traffic must go over IPv4 which is been done by the resolver addresses I listed, when using dual-stack connection IPv4/IPv6.
