Randomly blocking sites

graham.llewellyn

I have one particular user, who seems to get blocked form sites that he's previously traversed, and are not blocked. If fact, he is part of the Open Internet group.

Has anyone seen this, or could direct me where to troubleshoot?

I have no idea what you mean by this user being a "part of the Open Internet group" or how that's in any way relevant to OpenDNS.

Also, what indications are you seeing that OpenDNS is causing this random blocking?

How is this user, and their computer, different from all of the other users? Are they connecting from the same network? What version of OpenDNS is being used here?

I am having the same issue as Graham.Llewellyn. Specifically, google.com and bing.com are blocked for one of our staff members and if they try a second time, it then allows them to go to the websites. Very strange. I am submitting a support request now.

My problem was that the OpenDNS service on my domain controller would stop syncing properly. Try restarting the connector service.
