After I set OpenDNS IP addresses on my router, my internet connection speeds tanked. I checked this out by undoing the OpenDNS set-up and the connection speeds bounced back. I don't know why this is happening and it looks to be something with the OpenDNS servers, themselves. But, if anyone has a fix, I would be happy if you would share it.

It could be that you are too far away from the next OpenDNS data center, in contrast to your ISP's DNS service.

Thanks for your input! I actually discovered there was a combination effect between OpenDNS and an extension in my web browser that both serve a similar filtering function. Once I fixed this duplication issue, my connection speed came back. My apologies for neglecting to update my post. :P
