Windows update?

I just installed OopenDNS on our network yesterday, or rather, set it up. I am noticing several issues right off the bat. One of which is windows update. I am getting an error code 80244019 when trying to connect. I dont see a blocked traffic notification in the reports. It was working until I changed this over.

A quick bing search of the error message doesn't indicate anything related to DNS, but it's likely that you set your OpenDNS filtering to some pretty restrictive levels.

Since it can take up to 24 hours for your OpenDNS stats to start populating, and after that the stats are always delayed for the free account you might need to wait a little while to find what domain is being blocked that you need.

Settings are basic with a couple of added categories.

"Settings are basic with a couple of added categories."

Yes, this may well block domains being needed for Windows update to work, especially if you selected domains like Business Services or Software/Technology.  As said, check your stats after a while to see if domains are unnecessarily blocked:
