WNt to set up opendns for multiple devices but not for network

Hi! I’m looking to set up opendns for my laptop, ipad and android phone, but NOT for my network. This is because I don’t want my housemates to be inconvenienced by my adult content block. So far I’ve succeeded with my laptop, but I can’t seem to add my iPad and phone. I’ve already changed the DNS on all three devices, but the test page keeps saying that I’m not connected to the openDNS yet. How can I add these two devices? (Have already followed all the steps on the support pages)

UUUUGH. So, I found the solution, thought I’d post it for other digital noobs.

Turns out you shouldn’t type “208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220” but just “208.67.222.222”. That’s what you get from following a manual literally!
