Hi. I'm running into a weird situation installing 4 new C606R Chassis that are identical to each other in every way. Same chassis, linecards, SFPs/QSPFs, IOS version, etc. With 2 of them, everything is fine...... With the other two, I'm getting this message in the logs:
000222: *Oct 26 21:44:02.677 GMT: %TRANSCEIVER-3-NOT_COMPATIBLE: R0/0: iomd: Detected for transceiver module in FortyGigabitEthernet1/0/2, module disabled.
This is happening on two different chassis, with 2 separate QSFPs, on two different C9600-LC-24C linecards. Show inventory raw output looks normal:
NAME: "FortyGigabitEthernet1/0/2", DESCR: "QSFP 40GE LR4"
PID: QSFP-40G-LR4-S , VID: V01 , SN: FNS24130EBE
IOS is cat9k_iosxe.16.12.04.SPA.bin on both platforms where the issue is occurring and on both where the QSFP-40G-LR4-S work fine.
We're submitting a TAC case for the issue, but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this specific issue before.
