We are configuring a Metro 1500 with several WCMs for different applications. Our customer has asked us to provide 3R on all interfases. We have included a LST fot an OC-3 link (MM fibre). We know that the LST and HST only support 2R.
Are there plans to support 3R on these interfases? Or they just do not support it because of the variable data rate?

The Metro 1500 supports 3R (signal retime, regenerate and reshape) only on OC12, OC48 and clocked Gigabit Ethernet WCM modules.
OC3 and a wide range of other transponder modules are supported in the ONS 15540 Extended Services Platform. See the data sheet below:
