SFP 20km

Hi, 

Which is the recommended SFP if the request is 

Cisco SFP+ 10G 1310nm 20km LR

Using the TMG tool i do not get any findings on 20km reach

Google gives me a lot of 3rd party direct findings. 

Please advice.

Whats the switch or router , this link below will tell you , put in your device it will give you all options for that hardware, all sfp types and supported ranges , you will need SMF SFP anyway at that distance

Previously I came across a requirement where we had to connect two data centres using dark fibre @10gbps. Our switch model had compatible LR4 SFP available supporting to 40km. We also explored ER4 sfp for 40gbps@40km but those were expensive and couldn't justify using them just for the sake of future proofing.

Most likely you have to use sfp supporting 10gbps@40km

FYI, most common long distance (=>1km) sfp modules available in descending order across different platforms are listed below , with few also being end of sale.
