which 100G cables to choose

hello,

Sometimes i'm bound to work in physical data center environment. Due to quite crowded racks it's hard to manage 100G connections especially when we're using passive copper 100G cables like QSFP-100G-CU. They take very lot rack space and it's hard to manage them, because of their thick nature. I think the only benefit of them is their price. So - i was researching and i saw that the industry has to offer much flexible solutions for 100G cables. There're SFPs like https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/transceiver-modules/datasheet-c78-736282.html :

* 100GBASE QSFP Active Optical Cables,

* QSFP-100G-SL4 with some kind of MPO cables and

* QSFP-40/100-SRBD with simple lc-lc cables.

Seems these three all gonna do the work if i dont need very long reach. Cost for them is not much higher than my mentioned thick passive copper cables. And the cables for them is quite slim. Maybe you have some experience with 100G connections also ? For example is there any pros and cons with my mentioned Active Optical Cables, QSFP-100G-SL4 with MPO cables or QSFP with lc-lc cables ? Which would you choose and why ?

Thanks.

Btw devices i will interconnect would be Cisco NEXUS and NCS series mainly.
