OLTS looks like cheap device to measure optical attenuation.
Is it worth buying it and using it at work with SM cables?

Get an OTDR instead.

thank you Leo, otdr is better I know, but more expensive, some several thousands dollars

OLTS will only say there is a signal loss. An OLTS will not say WHERE or HOW FAR is the fault.
An OTDR can say, yes, there is a signal loss and the fault is X distance away.

thank you Leo, I know how to work with OTDR, I did it many times. but now I dont have it. I see I can order OLTS from aliexpres for about 20 dollars. is it good choice?

The OLTS is a handy piece of test gear to have (or separate power meter and light source) for confirming continuity and loss of a fiber link. Can't comment on a specific product sold on AliExpress, but it may be sufficient for your testing needs.

The website, thefoa.org, provides understandable information regarding testing fiber optic cabling.
