Hello,

I would like to know if the F2E modules can coexist in the same VDC with the M modules and keep the Layer 3 capabilities.

Regards,

Tudor

Currently, F2E line card can't co-exist with M1/M2/F1 and F3 line cards.

Not sure when the software release to enable this feature is coming out.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer.

I can confirm that with the 6.2.2a version, the F2E can coexist with the M1 and M2 modules but NOT with F1.

Under the VDC config it needs the following command:

vdc TEST id 1

  limit-resource module-type m1  m1xl m2xl f2e

Regards,

Tudor

Thanks for the corrections, Tudor.

No probs, I'll test them more to see their limitations...my goal is to establish iBGP between 2 N7K's over a portchannel using F2E ports...I ll be using SVI's and see how they behave..

Hello Tudor!

Does the L3 capabilities still works with M1 and F2e modules in the same VDC?

Thanks

Hello Gustavo,

I confirm that the L3 capabilities are operational in the same VDC. I use several VRF's as well.

Regards,

Tudor
