Enable device alias database in Nexus5548

Hi friend,

I need help .. i am try to configuring alias and zones in my nexus but and cant, my nexus doesnt show me the command to do this task.

I enabled the feature FCOE but i cant get commad to configure alias and zones .

can you help me please..

Is your nexus switch in NPV mode? Usually if the switch is running in npv mode, all the alias and zoning config is done on upstream npiv switch and you wont be able to see the commands on npv switch. Check 'show feature' output see if npv is enabled on the switch.

My nexus is in NP mode and both fetures npv and npiv are enable.

Since the switch is in npv mode, what you are seeing is expected. Do you have an upstream NPIV enabled switch? If yes, you can enable for these commands on the upstream switch. In case you dont have any upstream npiv enabled switch, then please remove feature npv from this switch by doing 'no feature npv'. Disabling wont take effect until switch is write ease and reloaded. So before you back out the change, make sure you have the right boot variables set and config backed up.
