OSPF Database Flapping Nexus 7000

Hi All,

I have found strange thing during running OSPF between two devices Cisco Nexus 7K. Like as usual, we configure OSPF and both devices already adjacency. Let say we advertise some subnet 172.16.5.128/25 using ip ospf 1 area 0 command in SVI. But, when I check the OSPF database, it seems unstable / flapping, here is the capture :

Devices 10.220.1.1 and 10.220.1.16 peering to DC-SVRF-SWI-02. On 10.220.1.1 we put static route and then redistribute it into OSPF, because when we not do this the devices 10.220.1.16 not going advertise the segment properly.

Is there any bug issue ? (we use NX-OS 6.1)

Thanks,

-Rp

Can you provide mroe detial on the setup and connections between the 7k's, if you are peering VIA SVI's across the peer link or maybe BFD is on one side and not the other is a guess. Without knowing the topology its hard to say

This document discusses several common scenarios encountered where the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) neighbor does not come online as expected. In order to avoid this type of unexpected behavior on Cisco Nexus 7000 Series switches, make sure to follow the guidelines and restrictions about Layer 3 (L3) and Virtual Port Channel (vPC).
