OTV Support on 6509E

Hi,

We are looking at stretched Vlans over existing dark fibre this is currently layer 3 , running between 6509E to perform vmware vmotion on between sites.

OTV (Overlay Transport Virtualization) is something mentioned that may help with solution.   

Question is can we use our existing 6509E Sup720 to implement this and if so how ?  

We don't have budget to buy Nexus 7000.    We have ASR 1k but how do we implement on existing connection between sites?

Hi,

OTV is not supported in 6500 platform. 

It is available on Nexus 7000 and I believe available on ASR too.
